2004 Adega de Pegões Colheita Seleccionada, VR Terras do Sado, Portugal

Preserved dark berries on the nose, coconut, spicy and nutty. Lots of oak on the palate, astringent tannins, slightly medicinal fruit, preserved berries and some orange zest, medium-bodied, but not particularly deep, attractive finish. Oak dominates the wine.
