2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Adega de Pegões, VR Terras do Sado, Portugal

Complex nose with dark berries, hint of peppers. Quite lively and has some finesse, elegant cassis and berry fruit, delicate herbaceous notes and chocolate in the background, some fine-grained, slightly astringent tannins, has some substance, good ripe grapes used, modern and quite well made, still shows some of its origins in spite of the barrique and polished style, attractive to good finish.
