2010 Barolo DOCG Enrico VI, Piedmont, Italy

Rather firm, polished and also deep scent of very ripe, partly pickled red and black berries with cherry notes, herbal and dried floral aromas, some chestnut and tar. Clear, polished, finely juicy fruit, candied nutty and somewhat spicy wood aromas, dried floral nuances, very slightly compote, some cocoa on the palate, delicate vegetable aromas, has power and mellifluousness, still rather undeveloped, even if already relatively soft, gains a lot of grinding and depth with air, downright elegant style, good depth, very good to long finish.
