2003 Terre di Franciacorta DOC, Lombardy, Italy

Fairly mature nose, preserved mixed berries, light vegetal notes, some paprika and green pepper, earthy notes, spicy oak. Ripe, fairly juicy fruit on the palate, vegetal and earthy notes, spicy oak, hint of licorice and some leathery notes, touch of chocolate in the background, very creamy and powerful, light acid bite, fairly mature tannins, good to very good finish.
