1997 Salento IGT Rosso, "Notarpanaro", Apulia, Italy

Vanilla oak on the nose, very ripe red berry fruit, some rum punch, white chocolate, some leather and dried fruit. Creamy and sweet in the mouth, quite juicy fruit, surprisingly well defined, quite fine tannins, powerful body, persistent, still very much alive, some leather on the palate, harmonious, good finish.
