2015 Terre Siciliane IGT Tenuta Presti e Pegni, benuara, Sicily, Italy

Slightly smoky, earthy, fleshy and leathery nose, more red than black berries, nutty-woody notes, some green herbs and licorice. Partly canned red and black fruit on the palate, meaty, earthy and tobacco notes, slightly sandy tannins, some roasted notes and cocoa, a hint of coffee, some pomegranate, noticeable alcohol, light acid bite, attractive, astringent finish.
