2014 Barbaresco DOCG "Stardé", Piedmont, Italy

Firm, somewhat peppery-spicy aroma of ripe black and red berries with nutty and tobacco aromas, dried floral nuances and a hint of cocoa and tar. Quite firm in the mouth as well, ripe, juicy fruit with nutty, tobacco and peppery flavours, taut, youthful, fine tannin and some acid bite, dense and persistent on the palate, a hint of cocoa in the background, has power, good depth, mineral nuances, a bit of dried herbs, very good, firm, tart and tobacco finish with grip and bite
