Editor note: Tart, slightly muted nose, vegetal and earthy notes, fairly prominent mineral notes, restrained yellow fruit and some yeasty notes. Firm, concentrated and juicy on the palate, almost monolithic, ripe fruit, spicy tobacco, dominated by earthy mineral notes, very elegant, lively acidity, persistent, full-bodied, has some depth and good grip, clearly shows its origin, salty and some more light yeasty notes on a very good long finish.

One of the eight specific wine growing areas in the Austrian province or generic wine growing area of Lower Austria. It is crossed by the Danube, on whose northern bank slopes many of the most terraced vineyards are located. The partly very steep vineyards are among the steepest vineyards in Austria. The narrow valley along the Danube is only 33 kilometres long, the wine growing area 15 kilometres long.
