2015 Wachau Ried Axpoint Grüner Veltliner Smaragd® trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Clear, cool and tart, clearly vegetal nose with fine, restrained yellow-fruity aromas, some pepper, herbs, floral traces and mineral hints. Ripe, tightly knit, tart, somewhat melting fruit, very fine acidity, delicate grip, floral and vegetal tones, again a hint of pepper, persistent, medium strength, good depth, distinct minerality, has power without heaviness, certain inner calm, very good, firm, tangy, mineral and slightly nutty finish with herbal spice. In first-class form.

Editor note: Cool nose, elegant spice, vegetal and herbaceous notes, elegant yellow fruitm earthy and mineral notes, hint of tobacco. Firm, dry, slightly juicy fruit on the palate, very elegant acidity, more vegetal notes, herbs and spices, hint of dark berries, persistent, slightly creamy, but also has grip and backbone, floral traces, cistrus zests and peel in the background, salty mineral notes, very good, quite juicy finish.
