Editor note: Firm, fairly deep nose, still slightlyyeasty, partly candied citrus fruit and some stone fruit, light floral traces, intense mineral notes. Ripe, juicy, sweetish fruit on the palate, sugar candy, light yeasty notes, touch of yellow spice, elegant, lively acidity, good grip, fairly creamy, herbaceous and floral traces, persistent, excellent depth, prominent mineral notes, complex, still young, clear contours, long, firm, sweetish, juicy finish.
Best to drink: To 2035+

Highest appellation in the French wine region Alsace that are a class above normal AOC Alsace stands. The name is "Alsace Grand Cru" followed by an indication of the location on label, Although it was adopted in 1975, the first list of 25 locations was only published in 1983.
