2016 Cairanne AOP Hommage á André Brusset, Rhône, France

Clear, firm, polished aroma of black and a little red berries with dried herbal notes, some pepper and hints of tar, tobacco and meat. Very firm, tart, juicy, dark fruit, slightly smoky and roasted spice, peppery flavours, a little juniper and allspice, present, yet ripe, fine tannin, restrained power, fine bite, persistent and multi-layered on the palate, good depth, minerality in the background, a hint of coffee, has polish and elegance, still seems almost too young, very good, firm, polished, juicy and finely spicy finish with tension.
