2016 Cairanne AOP Vieilles Vignes, Rhône, France

Tart, youthful, slightly animal scent of dark berries with a little pepper, herbs of Provence as well as tobacco and earthy nuances. Ripe, firm, tart, juicy fruit with vegetal to herbaceous, somewhat peppery and again tobacco notes, certain acid bite and firm tannins, persistent on the palate, still undeveloped, earthy to mineral tones in the background, has power, very good, firm, tart yet juicy finish with slightly nutty and spicy tones.
