2004 Côtes du Rhone Villages AOC, Rhône, France

Medium-intense nose, ripe, partly preserved cherries, red and black berries, notes of wild herbs, wilted flowers and some licorice. Firm and polished on the palate, full-bodied but fairly cool style, fine tannins still slightly sandy, smoky and roasted notes in the background, good balance, attractive finish. Very modern style.
