2001 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Delicate herbal nose with some gingerbread spice, ripe red berries and some vegetal notes. Medium-bodied, moderate berry flavours with some spice, quite polished, moderate ripe tannins and a hint of mineral notes, light vegetal touch on attractive finish with moderate berry notes. Well made, pleasant to drink now but will also benefit from some further maturation.
