2001 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC Cuvée Vieilles Vignes, Rhône, France

Warm red berry nose, red and blackcurrants, some chestnuts, roasted nuts and a light whiff of paint. Gentle style, almost caresses the palate, harmonious with elegant fruit, red berry preserves, plum purée and cherry liqueur, very ripe, well integrated tannins, some mineral notes, high alcohol slightly noticeable on the long finish. Will continue to provide a high level of enjoyment for years to come.
