2003 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Slightly burnt nose with greenish wood and herbs, ripe red berries and some mineral notes in the background. Medium-bodied, quite clean berry and cherry fruit, still youthful and also still juicy, quite good structure, both oak and grape tannins are still slightly dusty, moderate mineral notes, attractive to good long finish. Not a blockbuster, but has a very good structre.
