2015 Chateauneuf-du-Pape AOC, Rhône, France

Somewhat herbaceous, earthy and nutty fragrance with red and black berry aromas, some cherries, root vegetables, fleshy tones and a little bacon. Ripe, pickled, sweetish and juicy fruit with crumbly, youthful tannins and a little acid bite, herbal and slightly vegetable on the palate, some chocolate and again also bacon, very good persistence, noticeable alcohol, salt and spicy notes in the background, a little bacon, still very young, some depth, very good, firm, juicy finish. Must mature a little.

Best to drink: Ende 2018 bis 2026+. What our ratings mean
