Light red berry notes on an oak-dominated nose, slightly stalky with herbal notes, some resin. Medium-bodied and quite substantial on the palate, fairly simple style, slightly cooked red berry fruit and kumquats, powerful, prominent tannins, attractive finish. Rustic, straightforward style that goes well with hearty food.
