The estate is located in the commune of Rocuefort-sur-Loire 20 km south-west of Angers in the Maine-et-Loire department in the French wine-growing region Loire, The traditional company has been owned by the Baumard family since 1634. It was reactivated by Jean Baumard in the mid-1950s. Since 1992 it has been run by son Florent Baumard. The vineyards cover 40 hectares of vineyards on both banks of the Loire. It will be the white varieties Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay as well as the red wine varieties Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon cultured. The management takes place after ecological principles; however not certified organic.
All still wines are with screw cap of the French brand STELVIN bottled. The large product range includes red wines, rosé wines, white wines, sparkling wines and sparkling wines from various appellations on the Loire. These are Anjou (Cabernet d'Anjou), Coteaux du Layon. Crémant de Loire. Quarts de Chaume. Rosé de Loire and Savennières, The premium wines include two Savennnières white wines (Chenin Blanc). These are the "Trie Speciale" (made from three layers) and "Clos du Papillon" (from the same name) that were only produced in special years.
