Wine Review Report :

Wein-Plus rating: Very good (85 WP)
Last reviewed: 25 March 2019
Editor note: Fairly mature nose, earthy and cedary notes, hint of tobacco, light animal notes, red andblack berries, touch of provencale herbs, peppery traces. Ripe, fairly tart, fairlymature fruit on the palate, nutty notes, dried herbs, light meaty and animal aromas, fairly prominent, but fairly well integrated sandy tannins, medium body, noticeable warm alcohol, earthy notes and a hint of mushrooms in the background, very slightly muted on a good finish.
Best to drink: To 2020+

The winegrowing region is the northern part of the area Languedoc-Roussillon in the deep south France on the Mediterranean coast. It encompasses the three departments from north to southwest Gard. Hérault and Aude, The much smaller one Roussillon in the department Pyrenees-Orientales closes to the west, the two wine-growing regions Provence and Rhone east to. The name is derived from "langue d'oc", which means "language of the Oc" (oc = yes). This Occitan language became south of the Middle Ages Loire spoken; north one spoke "Langue d'oil"...
