2016 Hérault IGP Grenache-Carignan "rouge", Languedoc, France

Tart nose, vegetal, earthy and light meaty notes, predominantly black and a few red berries, hint of cherries, hint of mushrooms, light floral traces. Fairly soft, partly preserved fruit on the palate, cocoa and nougat notes, integrated tannins, fairly full-bodied and quite persistent, veryslightly jammy style, hint of dried herbs and pepper in the background, soft contours, hint of nut butter, good, very slightly warm finish.
