Editor note: Tart nose, vegetal, earthy and light meaty notes, predominantly black and a few red berries, hint of cherries, hint of mushrooms, light floral traces. Fairly soft, partly preserved fruit on the palate, cocoa and nougat notes, integrated tannins, fairly full-bodied and quite persistent, veryslightly jammy style, hint of dried herbs and pepper in the background, soft contours, hint of nut butter, good, very slightly warm finish.
Best to drink: To 2021+

Department in the south France on the Mediterranean coast with the capital Montpellier in the political region of Occitania. It was named after the Hérault river. It lies between the two departments Aude (southwest) and Gard (northeast). Like this, it belongs to the region Languedoc with the comprehensive AOC area of the same name.
