Medium intense nose, quite deep, cherries and mixed berries, delicate smoky notes and tobacco, some dried flowers and spicy oak. Clear, elegant and quite firm on the palate, fairly juicy ripe but cool fruit, floral notes, some old oak, fine, still slightly astringent tannins, very good persistence, prominent earthy and mineral notes, shows its origins, quite deep, long finish.

Best to drink: 2009-2016+. What our ratings mean
