2014 Côtes du Roussillon-Villages Caramany AOC Saint Bart Vieilles Vignes, Roussillon, France

Tart, slightly smoky and nutty, also peppery and fleshy aroma of more black than red berries with a little pickled cherries, bay leaf, paprika, chestnuts and juniper. Tart, juicy, rather cool fruit, fine dark ethereal spice, some meat, iron and iodine, a certain acid bite and fine sandy tannins, persistent on the palate, clearly Provençal herbs, certain depth, very good finish with a hint of bitter chocolate.

Editor note: Firm, slightly dried, planty and earthy scent of mixed berries, a little dried herbs and pepper and a hint of bacon and mineral tones. Tart, cool and polished fruit, rather lean but firm, nutty, slightly dried vegetable and bacon notes, good persistence and depth, salt in the background, quite elegant style, rather tight, moderate old-wood and also nutty tones, very good finish with animating, tart juice, some cocoa and spicy tones
