2012 Côtes duTarn IGP Cabernet Franc "La Cabane", South-west France, France

Firm and quite deep, somewhat animal, smoky, toasty and tobacco scent of blackcurrants with cedar aromas, blood, iron, black olives, dried herbs as well as dried tomatoes and red peppers. Clear, firm, tart, juicy, ripe fruit, youthful, quite smooth tannin, lots of power, but also some bite, moderately roasted, nutty and chocolaty wood aromas, a touch of paprika and dried tomatoes on the palate, herbal nuances, salt in the background, good depth, a hint of cola nut, very good, juicy and spicy finish
