2012 Côtes duTarn IGP Syrah "La Tarabelle", South-west France, France

Fleshy-animal, slightly peppery and somewhat earthy scent of predominantly black berries with smoky-woody, bacony and dried vegetable to herbaceous notes. Rather firm, juicy, yet tart fruit with bite and youthful, quite fine tannins, good persistence, relatively fresh on the palate, delicate animal and nutty tones, a little dark chocolate, dark caramel and coffee, some depth, salty nuances and also peppery spice, very good, firm, juicy and tangy-spicy, still slightly drying finish with ethereal and smoky nuances
