2014 Cornas AOC Prémices, Rhône, France

Rather cool, herbal fragrance of partly preserved red and black berries with earthy notes, a hint of tobacco and pepper as well as herbaceous and floral traces. Rather tart, cool, reserved fruit, clearly vegetal aromas and some acid bite, slightly earthy and slightly tobacco in the background, fine sandy, still drying tannins, fairly persistent, slightly muted and brittle on the palate, still rather inaccessible, good, tart finish.
