2008 Côtes Catalanes IGP Coume Gineste, Roussillon, France

Lively and fresh, polished, yeasty bouquet of partly candied citrus fruits and quinces with very fine petrol tones, floral aromas, herbs and minerality in the background with delicate spice of vanilla, cinnamon and nuts. Ripe, juicy and melting fruit in the mouth, again yeast, candied nuts, vanilla and cinnamon, petrol nuances, a lot of salty minerality and herbal notes, lively, very fine, quite taut, yet playful-lively acidity, powerful and persistent on the palate, some grip, excellent substance and persistence, herbal tones reminiscent of sage, some depth, quite fine style, very good finish.
