2016 Rasteau AOC Héritage, Rhône, France

Quite firm, tart, slightly tobacco aroma of cherries and rather dark berries with Provence herbal notes and floral traces. Ripe, rather juicy fruit with tobacco, slightly cedary and again herbal notes, youthful, fine sandy tannin and some bite, powerful on the palate but also with cooling mineral hints, some cocoa, good substance and persistence, good to very good, juicy and tart-spicy finish with a hint of smoke
