1991 Hermitage AOC, Rhône, France

Ripe, partly preserved red berries and a whiff of black berries on the nose, prominent dried dark flowers, some tar and black olives, delicate herbaceous notes and spicy oak. Mature fruit on the palate, prominent tart spice, provencale herbs and juniper, prominent mineral notes, very good persistence and depth, fine sandy tannins, very long finish.
