1995 Hermitage AOC Ermitage Cuvée Cathelin, Rhône, France

Exceptionally complex, deep nose, extremely ripe mixed berries, spicy notes, prominent mineral notes, black olives, some sugar candy and malt. Concentrated, ripe, creamy fruit on the palate, red and black berries, black olives and malted notes, earthy notes, licorice and coffee grounds, very ripe tannins evenly distributed, but still slightly astringent, vegetal traces, prominent mineral notes, complex, great depth, very long finish. Needs aeration.
