2005 Hermitage AOC, Rhône, France

Firm, clean, youthful nose, preserved mixed berries and cherries, touch of licorice, chocolate and provencale herbs, prominent mineral notes. Very concentrated on the palate, firm and youthful, deep and persistent, elegant acidity, fairly prominent, very fine tannins, more prominent mineral notes, dried herbs, earthy notes, hint of tar and licorice, light oak in the background, deep and still totally undeveloped, very long finish. Needs time to mature.
