The estate is located in the municipality of Ampius on the north Rhone
, It was founded in the early 1950s by Joseph Jamet, who started bottling in 1976. Today the family business is run by the brothers Jean-Luc and Jean-Paul Jamet. The vineyards cover seven hectares of vineyards in the AC area Côte Rôtie
on slate floor, which is divided into 25 plots. Syrah is cultivated almost exclusively. The de-stemmed berries are fermented for a long time in the steel tank using natural yeasts. Malolactic fermentation and aging take place in one-fifth of new oak barrels of different sizes. The wine is then bottled without filtration.
