2014 Côtes du Rhone AOC, Rhône, France

Still very youthful, relatively fruity scent of blackberries and cherries, but then also blood, pepper and fine herbaceous aromas, earthy to mineral nuances and a hint of beetroot. Polished, tart fruit with herbaceous-vegetal aromas, very light earthy, firm acidity and very fine, youthful tannins, which despite its presence looks almost silky, noticeably peppery on the palate, tart hues of nutshell in the background, still completely undeveloped, a touch of dark chocolate, hinted Blood orange, very good, quite cool, albeit slightly jammy finish. Must mature.
