The important wine trade and production house with seat and winery in Beaune was founded in 1880 by Joseph Drouhin. In 1957 it was taken over by Robert Drouhin, who brought it to world standing. The extensive vineyard property in the French Burgundy covers 64 hectares of vineyards in chablis and at the Côte d'Or with numerous Grand Cru and Premier Cru locations. Furthermore, the estate Domaine Drouhin in the US state Oregon operated. Among the top products are red wines and white wines from the Grand Cru or Premier Cru locations Bonnes Mares (Municipality of Chambolle-Musigny), Corton-Charlemagne ( Aloxe-Corton ), Grands Echézeaux ( Vosne-Romanée ), Les Clos (Chablis), Musigny ( Chambolle-Musigny ), Puligny-Montrachet (see Montrachet ) and Vaudésier (Chablis), as well as the "simple" Appellations wines chablis. Rully and Saint-Aubin, Every year around 330,000 boxes of wine (almost four million bottles) are produced. The company is a member of the renowned Family Winery Association PFV (Primum Familiae Vini).
