2006 Topikos Oinos Kranias/Τοπικός Οίνος Κρανιάς Ktima Katsaros / Κτημα Κατσαρος, Thessalia / Θεσσαλία, Greece

Red berries on the nose,herbaceous notes and bell peppers, some lactic notes and volatile notes, old oak, undergrowth, spice and prominent animal notes. Herbs and spices and vegetal notes on the palate, more braised bell peppers, firm red berry fruit,contoured and has some substance, tart, partly dried herbs, becomes more compact and develops backbone with aeration, slightly prominent tannins, slightly astringent and delicately bitter on a good finish.

Editor note: Preserved blackcurrants and cherries on the nose, tart smoky and earthy notes, hint of roasted potato skins, hint of dried herbs in the background. Tart juicy fruit on the palate, earthy notes and oak, fairly prominent fine sandy, slightly astringent tannins, vegetal traces, good persistence and has some depth, quite youthful, roasted notes and chocolate,very good finish.
