Syrupy dark berries and some plums on the nose, earthy, slightly burnt notes, cocoa beans and undergrowth. More overripe, preserved berry puree on the palate, spicy with some chocolate, delicate bitter notes, powerful, still rather astringent tannins, noticeable oak, reasonably well integrated, slightly alcoholic on an astringent, otherwise good finish.
