The appellation for red, rosé and white wines is in the French wine-growing region Roussillon at the foot of the Pyrenees directly on the Spanish border. it coincides geographically with the liqueur wine area Banyuls, The vineyards on the Mediterranean coast cover 430 hectares of vineyards in the four municipalities of Banyuls-sur-Mer, Cerbère, Collioure and Port-Vendres.
