2014 Pic Saint-Loup AOP, Languedoc, France

Firm, undeveloped, rather tart nose, predominantly dark berries, preserved cherries, some herbs, hazelnut, dried floral notes, leather and pepper. Clear, relatively cool and tart, firm and juicy fruit, nutty, earthy and dried herbaceous notes, slightly sandy and slightly astringent tannins, good persistence and depth, earthy notes, very light, nutty bitter, still undeveloped, a hint of cocoa and again pepper, very good, tart finish, with air increasingly juicy finish.
