Fairly prominent animal notes on the nose, preserved black berries and dried prunes, prominent spicy oak, herbaceous traces and some licorice. Quite full-bodied and juicy on the palate, prominent spicy oak, fairly prominent acidity, medium-fine, predominantly mature tannins, good persistence, earthy traces, has some depth, slightly astringent on an otherwise very good finish. The modern style rather detracts from its character.

Best to drink: Bis 2012+. What our ratings mean
