2004 Valais AOC Syrah, Wallis/Valais, Switzerland

Fairly superficial nose with vegetal notes as well as some cherry aromas, some almonds and berry compote. Again quite jammy in the mouth, slightly dissolute fruit, light notes of anise and slightly astringent tannins, not particularly deep, appears quite smooth and a little indifferent, gains slightly with aeration, acceptable to attractive finish.
