1999 Côte Rôtie AOC Cote blonde, Rhône, France

Intense, deep, quite youthful nose, dark fruit with animal notes and a light lactic note. Very full-bodied and juicy in the mouth, with loads of very fine tannin, complex and deep, roasted notes and citrus aromas in the background, outstanding structure, powerful, elegant and complex at the same time, still largely undeveloped, tremendously long finish.
