2015 Rasteau AOC Ilex, Rhône, France

A slightly nutty and undergrowthy bouquet of black and red berries with slightly animal notes, earthy and tobacco tones and a hint of bacon. Ripe, clear, juicy fruit, nutty, earthy and a little tobacco tones, Provence herbs and pepper in the background, crumbly tannin, has enamel and some warmth, very slightly fleshy notes, mineral traces, some tobacco, good to very good finish with rather soft, yet tart juice and ashy traces and a hint of cocoa.
