The estate is located in the municipality of Schengen-Wintrange in the southern Moselle valley of Luxembourg
, The viticultural activities of the traditional family business date back to 1714. Since 2003, the seventh generation has been led by Frank Schumacher (Geisenheim graduate oenologist) and his sister Martine (business economist). The vineyards cover eight hectares of vineyards on deep Keuperboden almost exclusively in the Grand Cru location Wintranger Felsberg. They are planted with the white varieties Riesling (29%), Rivaner (29%), Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Elbling, Auxerrois and Gewürztraminer, as well as the red varieties Pinot Noir and St. Laurent. In 1965 the domain of the notary Constant Knepper from Remich was taken over. The wines are still with original today bottle design
marketed. There is a natural, environmentally friendly management. Great emphasis is placed on hand-picked, healthy grapes. The wines are aged in the traditional way with the best possible technology, typical of the variety and location, in stainless steel. Specialties are late harvest from Pinot Noir, St. Laurent, Pinot Gris and Riesling.
