2004 Hochheim Riesling trocken, Rheingau, Germany

Fairly closed nose, ripe stone fruit, vegetal notes and tobacco, mineral notes in the background. Harmoneous and well-structured on the palate, elegant mineral notes, still closed, compact, soft fruit, well integrated acidity, medium-bodied, tranquil, complex wine with a good finish.

Editor note: Fairly shy nose, still slightly closed, prominent notes of peaches and apricots. Huicy on the palate with ample fruit, mienral notes, slightly unusual style, good structure and ahs some depth, noticeable tannins starting to integrate, can support the development, light bodied with some slightly bitter notes, long finish. Needs time to develop.
