The important French wine merchant house ( Négociant ) E. & M. Guigal, headquartered in Ampuis, is located in the north of the winegrowing region Rhone, It was founded in 1946 by Étienne Guigal. His son Marcel Guigal took over the management in 1971. He is considered one of the pioneers of the region, which contributed significantly to the quality improvement.
