2006 Barbera d'Alba DOC, Piedmont, Italy

Stalky nose, candied cherries and red berries. Relatively firm berry fruit on the palate, moderate acidity, moderate, integrated tannins, slightly tart and rustic, straightforward, quite full-bodied, traditional style, slightly tart on a very good finish. May still improve with time.
