2015 PDO Nova Zagora Merlot Elenovo, Oberthrakische Tiefebene, Bulgaria

Smells of braised red bell pepper, mulberries and tobacco with tarry notes. Nutty and spicy oak on the palate, ripe, warm fruit, mature, yet slightly astringent tannins, fairly persistent, a hint of cocoa, noticeable alcohol, attractive, slightly muted finish.
