2007 Südtirol / Alto Adige DOC Lagrein Riserva, Alto Adige, Italy

Slightly tart nose, preserved and partly dried mixed berries and cherries, dried herbs, dark chocolate, candied nuts and licorice, lightly toasted oak. Full-bodied and juicy on the palate, partly dried fruit, toasted, nutty, spicy oak, candied notes, medium-fine, predominantly mature tannins, quite persistent, very creamy with a light acid bite, touch of dried herbs, not particularly deep, not a lot of substance, slightly astringent on a very good finish.
