Editor note: Firm nose, nutty, spicy oak, light herbaceous notes, ripe, partly preserved black berries and some cherries, hint of tobacco and some eucalyptus, touch of bacon and peppery traces. Firm, polished, very dark fruit on the palate, fine, fairly prominent tannins, light nutty oak, hint of tobacco, sooty traces, tannins still youthful, fine and sandy, generally well integrated, concentrated and persistent, earthy notes, delicate hint of bacon, firm grip, hint of coffee grounds in the background, still very slightly astringent on a very good finish.
Best to drink: 2017-2026+
