Tart nose, earthy and cedary notes, hint of tobacco, predominantly black berries, some dried herbs, hint of mushrooms and bacon. Ripe, but fairly tart fruit on the palate, prominent toasted, nutty oak and tobacco, cedary notes and ashes, light spicy notes, fairly prominent sandy tannins, dark chocolate, but also has some milky notes in the background, full body, sooty traces, becomes significantly more polished and juicy with aeration, light salty notes, creamy with ripe, partly preserved juicy fruit on a very good, fairly firm finish. Definitely needs time to mature.
